Guide / Prices & costs
Most suppliers hide their prices behind enquiry forms. We do it differently: here are our actual selling prices as the manufacturer — plus everything that honestly belongs with them: installation, the foundation and the costs nobody likes to talk about.
ALC Metalltechnik GmbH — Master metalworking business · As at 08/2026 · Updated on
These prices apply to the standard specification ex works Völkermarkt — including fixing material and a sheet-metal parapet on three sides, trapezoidal roof sheet with anti-condensation fleece and polyester coating:
| Model | Dimensions | Roof area | Price incl. VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single carport | 5.60 × 3.36 m | approx. 18.8 m² | 5,490.00 € |
| Double carport | 5.60 × 6.15 m | approx. 34.4 m² | 8,570.00 € |
| Carport 3 parking spaces | 5.60 × 8.92 m | approx. 50.0 m² | 11,540.00 € |
All prices are gross prices including 20 % Austrian VAT. Production time approx. 4 weeks. Gutter and downpipe, foundation and any municipal fees are not included.
Our surcharges are fixed and simply add up — no configurator tricks:
| Option | Single carport | Double carport | Carport 3 parking spaces |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ground sockets for a concealed fixing | + 880.00 € | + 1,210.00 € | + 1,320.00 € |
| Side panel at the back | + 400.00 € | + 790.00 € | + 1,190.00 € |
| Side panel at the side | + 1,190.00 € | + 1,190.00 € | + 1,190.00 € |
| Side panels at the back and at the side | + 1,580.00 € | + 1,980.00 € | + 2,380.00 € |
Surcharges gross including 20 % VAT.
Ground sockets (Einschubhülsen) give a concealed fixing in the foundation, side panels protect against driving rain and drifting snow — both can be selected with a live price on the product page.
Installation is carried out by our own team — no subcontractors. The installation price consists of a base price per carport size (2,750.00 € / 3,410.00 € / 3,850.00 € incl. VAT) and a fixed zone surcharge according to the driving distance from our works in Völkermarkt:
| Zone | Driving distance from our works | Surcharge |
|---|---|---|
| Zone 1 | up to 50 km | included |
| Zone 2 | up to 100 km | + 150.00 € |
| Zone 3 | up to 150 km | + 300.00 € |
| Zone 4 | up to 200 km | + 450.00 € |
| Zone 5 | up to 250 km | + 700.00 € |
| Zone 6 | up to 300 km | + 1,200.00 € |
| Zone 7 | up to 350 km | + 1,700.00 € |
Beyond 350 km of driving distance we install only by individual arrangement — the carport can always be delivered, though. Whether your address lies within the installation area takes seconds to check with the postcode lookup on the installation page. Example: installing a double carport in Zone 2 = 3,410.00 € + 150.00 € = 3,560.00 € incl. VAT — exactly as it is shown in the shopping cart.
Every carport needs frost-proof point footings (or a strip foundation) built on your side — by you or a regional construction company. The cost depends heavily on the ground, access and region; as a rough, non-binding guide from experience: around 1,500 to 3,500 €. Only a quotation on site is binding; for that we supply exact foundation plans with the position and dimensions of every footing. If you do some of the work yourself, this item shrinks considerably — details in the foundation guide.
This is what an honest total looks like — for a double carport in Zone 1 (up to 50 km from our works, travel included), without extra options:
| Double carport (standard specification) | 8,570.00 € |
|---|---|
| Installation by our team, Zone 1 | 3,410.00 € |
| Subtotal (our services, incl. VAT) | 11,980.00 € |
| Foundation on your side (non-binding guide value) | approx. 1,500–3,500 € |
Depending on the foundation work, the whole project in this example therefore comes to roughly 13,480 to 15,480 €. With your own work on the foundation you land at the lower end. For comparison: a DIY-store kit looks cheaper at first — but usually carries only a fraction of the snow load and comes without installation, parapet or any structural reserve for your region.
| Criterion | Steel (hot-dip galvanised) | Aluminium | Timber |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purchase price | medium | rather high | low to medium |
| Load capacity / snow load | very high (250 kg/m² readily achievable) | limited, larger profiles needed | good, needs heavy sections |
| Maintenance | practically none (galvanising) | practically none | stain or paint every few years |
| Service life | several decades | several decades | strongly depends on care |
| Typical for | Alpine locations, longevity | design projects, low snow load | classic look, DIY |
In short: timber wins on the entry price but loses over the years through upkeep; aluminium is light and rust-free but needs heavier (and dearer) profiles for Alpine snow loads. Hot-dip galvanised steel combines high load reserves with maintenance-free corrosion protection — which is why we build with nothing else. Why snow load is the decisive criterion is explained in the snow load guide.
As the manufacturer, ALC Metalltechnik sells hot-dip galvanised steel carports rated for 250 kg/m² snow load at fixed list prices including Austrian VAT, from a single carport for one car up to a carport for three. The current prices are in the table on this page and on the product pages; options, delivery and installation are added as you choose them.
Installation by our own team has a fixed base price per carport size plus a fixed zone surcharge for the driving distance from our works in Völkermarkt, charged once per order. Up to 50 km the travel is included; beyond that the zones in the table on this page apply, up to the limit of our installation area.
On your side: the foundation, any municipal fees for the building notification or permit and, if you want one, a gutter with downpipe, which is not part of the scope of delivery. Fixing material and the sheet-metal parapet on three sides are already included.
That depends heavily on the ground, access and region. As a rough, non-binding guide from experience: around 1,500 to 3,500 euros for point or strip footings built by a regional construction company. Only a quotation on site is binding; we provide the foundation plans for it.
Sometimes at purchase, rarely over its lifetime: timber needs regular staining or painting and, for the same dimensions, has lower load reserves. Hot-dip galvanised steel goes for decades without any coating maintenance.
All prices are gross prices including 20 % Austrian VAT. For delivery without installation, shipping is charged by distance zone and shown before you order; in the configurator you see the total price before you buy.
